If it is true about Grace, it can be blamed on the era in which she grew up. The other day I watched Betty Grable in,"The Dolly Sisters" and when she and June Haver did a musical number dressed as,"Darkies" with a bevy of beauties in blackface, my jaw dropped because of it's blatant racism, but back then audiences thought of it as being cute.
Wow! I've never heard G.K. described that way -- or really even in a negative way -- before. What a powerful quote. I wonder why Anne Baxter said that! Were the two rivals?
